DCU Educational Disadvantage Centre's Symposium on Agency and Systems in Developmental and Educational Psychology with keynote presentations from:- Professor Erica Burman, Professor of Education, University of Manchester, author of Deconstructing Developmental Psychology- Professor Jonathan Tudge, Professor of Human Development and Family Studies, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a leading expert on the work of Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems theory

Venue: E214 the Ann Louise Gilligan Lecture theatre, St. Patrick's Campus Drumcondra DCU,Date/Time: February 19th 2026 4-6.30pm, with tea/coffee from 3.30pm.


The Symposium is being organised by DCU Educational Disadvantage Centre & School of Human Development, in conjunction with the Centre for the Developing Person & School of Psychology, TCD.


The keynote presentations are responding to two books on Agency and Systems in Developmental Psychology:- Reconstructing agency in developmental and educational psychology: Inclusive Systems as Concentric Space.
