Symbol-to-Scene: Writing with Tarot
An intimate writing workshop for anyone who wants to explore their inner landscape through tarot’s symbols and archetypes. Each attendee will draw a card and receive a short, accessible reading—then we’ll take a moment to reflect before writing from what it stirs up: recurring motifs, unnamed feelings, private questions, or the story that's always been in you.
All forms of writing are welcome—poetry, character sketches, drabbles, fresh drafts, messy beginnings. Sharing is always optional, and the space is held gently and creatively.
In the second half of the session, we’ll pull a card for the group and shift into a collaborative writing sprint that moves from the internal to the external—shifting that final symbol into a scene to end on.

About your guide: Daphne Fama is an Ann Arbor native and the author of House of Monstrous Women (Berkley, Penguin Random House). Her facilitation style is cozy-but-productive: good questions, zero pressure, and full permission to write something a little weird.
