In a time when climate change, biodiversity loss, flash floods, wetland degradation, and pollution are increasingly affecting the Sylhet region, the need for youth-driven environmental leadership has become more urgent than ever. Sylhet, known for its tea gardens, haor wetlands, and rich natural ecosystems, now faces environmental vulnerabilities that directly impact agriculture, livelihoods, and ecological balance.
To address these growing concerns, “Sylhet Environment Summit 2026” emerges as a comprehensive regional platform designed to educate, inspire, and activate young minds toward sustainable action.
The summit will integrate academic competitions, creative exhibitions, sustainable project displays, and a high-level environmental conference — creating a unified space where students, educators, researchers, policymakers, and environmental leaders can collaborate and exchange ideas.
This initiative aims to strengthen environmental literacy, promote scientific thinking, and encourage practical solutions tailored to Sylhet’s regional ecological challenges.
