After another great festival earlier in Feb 2025, we are really pleased to be launching the 2026 Sydney Handpan Festival. It will take place from the afternoon of Thursday 12th February till Sunday 15th February finishing at midday. We will be returning to the Happy Buddha Retreat in the Blue Mountains near Wenthworth Falls (around 1hr 35mins from Sydney and 10 mins from Wenthworth Falls station). This venue has hotel style accommodation with choices of single, double or triple rooms each with its own bathroom. There is a swimming pool onsite and beautiful bush walks and a waterfall nearby.

The weekend will be packed with jams, workshops and handpan performances. The festival will include nourishing and yummy vegetarian food including breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared by Happy Buddha Catering.
Our extra special guest this year is French musician and handpan player Quentin Kayser who is travelling all the way from France to perform and teach at the festival.

Quentin is a highly experienced handpan player and teacher who composes beautiful pieces sure to enthrall. We are really excited to have Quentin at the festival as he is one on the top players in the world.
We also welcome Adrian Portia back to the festival. Adrian is another amazing player, known for his incredible technique, agility and improvisations on the handpan.

This year we are overjoyed to have two handpan makers at the festival.
Matt Ostila is from northern NSW and will bring new insights into the intricacies of handpan making and tuning. Matt is also a very fine musician who loves odd time signatures.

Our dear friend Tim Tom from Celestial Sound will again be with us to tune handpans and share his knowledge and playing.
