Tamil Arts and Culture Association (TACA, Sydney) Inc. (Registered with Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission) will be once again organising a day-long mega event “Sydney Chithirai Festival” on Sunday the 03rd May 2026 at Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope for the consecutive 14th year. In addition to the Tamil community other multi cultural community members have been attending and will be supporting the event.Chithirai Festival (Tamil New Year Festival) is a very popular festival for the Tamil Community all over the world. Major highlights of the 2026 Sydney Chithirai festival will be the Tamil folk music and dance performance by reputed folk singers Senthil Ganesh and Rajalakshmi Troupe, Special performance by Padma Shri awardee Velu Aasan (Paraiattam), Live performance by Vijay TV Super Singer Season 11 Title Winner Nikhil and Folk dance performances by Kalaimamani Govindaraj and Kovai Anusha Shreev from Tamilnadu, India. Thousands of community members will be attending the day-long festival.
