Il y a des premières fois que l’on n’oublie pas. La première fois que l’on a entendu la voix captivante de Syd Matters en fait partie.
Dès End & Start Again en 2003, Jonathan Morali révèle un univers singulier, porté par un chant chaleureux et des mélodies hors du temps. Entre 2004 et 2011, Syd Matters publie quatre albums et signe des titres devenus cultes — Black & White Eyes, Obstacles, To All Of You ou I Might Float — qui marquent toute une génération, cumulant près de 200 millions d’écoutes et 100 000 ventes physiques.
Après des tournées en France, en Europe, aux États-Unis et en Amérique latine, culminant à l’Olympia en 2011, Jonathan Morali se consacre à la musique à l’image. Il compose notamment la bande-son des jeux vidéo à succès Life Is Strange et Life Is Strange 2, qui font découvrir Syd Matters à un nouveau public.
Le groupe fera son grand retour en septembre 2026 avec un cinquième album sur le label Créature (Fishbach, Chassol…), suivi d’une tournée en France et en Europe.

There are first times you never forget. The first time you hear Syd Matters’ captivating voice is one of them.
From his debut single End & Start Again in 2003, Jonathan Morali revealed a singular universe, carried by warm vocals and timeless melodies. Between 2004 and 2011, Syd Matters released four albums and wrote songs that became cult classics — Black & White Eyes, Obstacles, To All Of You and I Might Float — marking a whole generation, with nearly 200 million streams and 100,000 physical copies sold.
After touring across France, Europe, the United States and Latin America — culminating with a show at Paris’ Olympia in 2011 — Jonathan Morali turned to composing for screen. He notably created the soundtrack for the globally successful video games Life Is Strange and Life Is Strange 2, introducing Syd Matters to a whole new audience.
The band will return in September 2026 with a fifth album on the label Créature (Fishbach, Chassol…), followed by a tour across France and Europe.
