Swung/Texas is a WCS social focused on community, learning as much as we can about the dance, and moving forward. This social is designed for EVERYONE, from beginners first starting out to the champions in our scene.After our month-long hiatus, we're back! We're excited to bring y'all another Swung/Texas once again! People have been asking and who are we to deny what the people want! Austin Rocks is just around the corner, and we know y'all wanna dance!
We have the one and only Emily Schubert joining us for the first time here at Swung/Texas! She has recently moved back to the Texas area so we're excited to feature her this month. Emily has a background in ballet and loves bringing that into her dancing. She'll be focusing on "fascinating rhythm" within the dance, so if you want to find out what that entails, come check it out!
Becca Yasskin will be teaching an intro to West Coast Swing workshop for all of your friends who want to join our crazy dance and don't know where to start! This will be happening from 8:30 pm-9:30 pm.
