Learn to swing dance and have the chance to mix and mingle with other Christians in the region!
No dance experience needed. Bring friends along, or make friends once you get here!
This event is open for both singles and couples! Identifiers on nametags will help you determine the tone your "mingling" should have - so you can avoid hitting on someone's boyfriend :)
Learning to dance in the rotation with everybody else is the best way to develop your dancing skills. Dancing isn't inherently romantic, and we're all friends here! However, if you would prefer to dance only with your partner or your friend, you can choose that option as well.
What to expect:
- Dance instruction so we can all feel comfortable with the simple steps of East Coast Swing, as well as some cool tricks!
- Icebreakers and "asking to dance" etiquette to ensure everyone is comfortable participating in social dancing
- Lots of time to meet new people, practice your new dance moves, and socialize over refreshments during the free dancing portion of the evening
We know dancing may sound daunting to some of us, but rest assured, we chose an accessible, fun, dance to teach you - we will all be stumbling over our feet together :)
