Join us for a fun, relaxed day of dance fun. The afternoon will include classes in Lindy Hop - the original swing dance from the 40s - for absolute beginners, but also for strolls (unpartnered dances) and other vintage dances such as the Canadian Barn Dance or the Veleta. You'll have fun finding your feet, and there'll be time for socialising too.At about 5 pm, you can enjoy any food that you bring to picnic on (hot drinks will be available all day) and Vintage Vocalist Steve Mason and special guest Liz McIntosh will provide entertainment. This will be followed by a dance where you'll be joined by friendly dancers from our regular classes. There will be more singing as well as music from the 30s - 50s from DJ Dr Swing.
It's always the right time to take your first steps on the dance floor. Steve has over twenty year experience and is expert in helping new starters. His humorous and easy-to-follow classes always hit the spot and you'll have a great time.
The workshop is £15 payable in advance. For the dance only, tickets are £5 with entry from 6 pm. Tickets can be purchased from either Steve or Liz. Steve - 07538 065263.
