It don’t mean a thing if you ain’t got that swing. Join us for the debut of Swing at Spruce! Dance the night away every third Thursday at Spruce Street Harbor Park in partnership with Rittenhop and Jazz Attack swing dancing groups. The event is free and open to the public, and all ages and skill levels are welcome.
There will be a one-hour beginner Lindy Hop lesson (6 p.m.) and two (2) hours of dancing to a live jazz band. Lindy Hop, one of the original swing dances, is an American dance style that originated in the African-American communities of Harlem, NY. It began in the late 1920s and spread around the world, and it is still popular today.
Programming presented by Independence Blue Cross.
