Intro to Balboa
Do you like listening to Swing 5 but find it challenging to dance to their energetic tempos? If so, come learn beginner Balboa with Tony Treston and Katherine Anderson! Experienced dance teachers Katherine and Tony, who regularly teach at Glen Echo, will be offering a free basic lesson in Balboa — a footwork-focused dance style which is tailor made for fast-tempo tunes and crowded dance floors — at 7:15 pm before Swing 5 takes the stage. Come for the 30-minute lesson, then stay to put your new moves into practice on the Hank Dietle’s dance floor! No partner needed.
