Swimming in the Shallows is a witty, heartfelt comedy that wades into the strange and beautiful ways we search for love and connection. The play follows a group of friends as they seek deeper meaning in their lives and relationships —- complete with a wedding, dream sequences, and is that a… shark!
Blending offbeat humor with genuine tenderness, the story explores themes of vulnerability, longing, and what it means to truly be seen. As each character navigates their own desires and disappointments, the play gradually reveals a deeper emotional current beneath its whimsical surface.
Both funny and surprisingly moving, Swimming in the Shallows is a celebration of love in all its unconventional forms—and a reminder that even the most unlikely connections can be deeply meaningful.
