Fund Raising opportunity for your charity/organisation. Lions Club of Chichester are organising our annual ‘Swimathon’ on May 30th 2026 to take place at
Westgate Centre, Chichester. This is an ideal opportunity to raise funds for your chosen charity,
school or sports club. There is no cost to enter and no minimum sponsorship.
We are looking for teams of 4 – 6 members for this event. Teams will swim lengths of the Westgate
swimming pool (33 metres) and complete as many lengths as they can in the allotted time. It is not
competitive and all ages and swimming abilities can take part.
The members of the team will be responsible for raising their own sponsorship using sponsorship
forms which we will provide. Sponsorship moneys are passed to Chichester Lions Club who will
donate 100% of moneys received to the charity, school or club nominated by the team on their entry
form. An online sponsorship facility will be available with a link that you can send to your supporters.
The event will be held at the Westgate Leisure Centre, under the watchful eye of their lifeguards.
Swimmers must be capable of swimming 1 length of the 33 metre pool. The sessions will start at 4pm
and the final session will end at 8.30pm Each session will be for 1 hour.
An entry form is attached with this letter. You can enter more than one team if you wish.
