Sweet Talk: Abuse & boundary setting

Sweet Talk is a new series of talks and conversational salons where we address topics that can be difficult to talk about and even harder to carry alone. Here, we put into words what is often hidden away and create a safe, inclusive space for reflection, dialogue, and community💭
All events are structured as talks where one or two speakers with extensive professional and personal experience, share their knowledge and perspectives. Afterwards, we invite you to engage in dialogue, but always on your own terms.
You are welcome to join us whether you want to listen or share your own thoughts and experiences. We believe that the difficult also deserves gentleness, courage, and curiosity and that deep conversations can thrive in a space where there is room for seriousness, presence, and a little twinkle in the eye.
Abuse and Boundary Setting🫸🏻
Many people experience at some point in life that their boundaries are crossed… Physically, psychologically, sexually, or emotionally. This can leave lasting effects and impact our ability to feel safe, assert ourselves, and stay in touch with our own needs.
This evening offers a mix of short presentations, small exercises, and opportunities for sharing, exploring together how we sense our boundaries and how we can express them in a way that feels safe. Everything is voluntary. You are not required to do anything you don’t want to and if something feels overwhelming, you are welcome simply to be present to the extent that feels safe for you.
The evening is led by trained therapists, who bring both professional knowledge and personal experience. This means you will meet people who know what they are talking about, not only with their heads, but also with their hearts. We guide participants with care and respect through the complex emotions and reactions that can accompany boundary violations and trauma.
Whether you are attending because you have experienced boundary violations yourself, or out of curiosity and a desire to understand more, you are welcome. There is room here both to listen and reflect in silence, and to share if you feel like it. You decide for yourself how much you want to open up, the safety of the space is the most important thing.
Our hope is that you leave with a sense of not being alone. That you gain new perspectives, perhaps a sense of relief in the body and a small step closer to yourself.
✨The talk is led by Kathrin and Caroline.
Kathrin originally trained as a physiotherapist and now works independently as a sexologist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (trauma therapy) in her private practice in Nørrebro. From vulnerability to closeness describes the journey she invites you on. Vulnerability is not weakness, it is the courage to show who you are and what you feel, without masks. She opens a space where what feels difficult can be explored with care. Kathrin aims to support people in learning to use the body as a “consultant.” The body can often be a shortcut and a key to understanding and working with deep issues where consciousness and the logical mind may get stuck. Her approach moves toward greater connection with oneself, with one’s partner, and with the world—with joy and desire.
✨Caroline, who works at a public school, has in recent years served as a sexual education counselor, teaching both social and sexual boundary-setting for children and youth. She has also completed specialized training in psychological and sexualized violence at Exitcirklen, where she is employed as a communications officer, lecturer, and developer of educational materials. Caroline also dances and teaches dance, both based on the principle that, regardless of the body you have and what you have been through, you can regain your strength and reclaim your body through dance and movement.
