Learn to weave your own Willow Obelisk, perfect for supporting climbing plants.
This April, we are excited to offer a willow weaving workshop in The Orangery at Sledmere, where you’ll have the opportunity to create a Sweet Pea Willow Obelisk for your garden.
These workshops are ideal for beginners and always a favourite! Come and learn how to weave a willow obelisk, perfect for supporting tall plants (up to 6ft tall) using just willow and your skill! Janice Burley from Down 2 Earth will guide you through each step in this 2.5 hour workshop, starting with a pile of sticks and ending with your own rewarding creation, that looks fabulous in it’s own right! Our Head Gardener Jan has even nurtured some Sweet Pea seedlings to take away with you, so you’ll be all set up when you get home.
Following the workshop, you can enjoy all that Sledmere has to offer as your ticket also includes entry to the Parkland and Gardens.

General Admission: £62.50 per person
Sledmere Season Ticket Holders or 2025 Friends Members: £58.50 per person.
