The Temazcal originated in Central America it has been used for centuries for medicinal purposes, the rebirth ceremony, disease cleansing, pain relief, rights of passage and other important cleansing intentions.
It is not merely a place for sweat, is a multidimensional gate that allows us to be deeply in touch with our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body, it is a sacred lodge for transformational healing, to overcome fears, to bring new insights to our lives, to embrace our limits, but essentially a place to worship the Divine, the Great Spirit within us, the life force within the Great Mystery.
Our facilitator, Daniel Monterigues, is bringing the healing art of sweat lodge to Kula for the first time and ready to host those truly committed to detox and sweat their prayers and intentions. Spaces are limited, but not your capacity to heal in an exuberant and ancestral way.
As per tradition, there is no charge but a koha is greatly appreciated.
There are limited spaces so commitment is essential. To secure your place please send us a message.
We request that you bring a herb such as white sage, sweet grass, homegrown tobacco or any other herb, these are infused in the water that is poured on the rocks.
After the ceremony we would appreciate a contribution to the shared meal and we will spend the night integrating and will provide shared accomodation in our yurt. Please bring your sleeping back and pillow.
