Join us in the garden of the museum and become champions towards this majestic wild bird. This day of free activities will include:• Presentations and advice about the welfare of mute swans from wildlife charity group, Swan Support - focusing on correct feeding and pollution.
• Free Ugly Duckling puppet shows by Red Sauce Theatre Company.
• Free swan quiz trail around Canoe Lake, answering questions and learning about swans and local environment along the way. Once the trail quiz is completed, participants can enter a competition (for a nature related book).
• Free swan related craft activities.
• Every participant will also have the opportunity to create their own 'swan pledge' and become a Swan Champion (with a button badge to take away with them).
