Swallows​ swarm and roost for the night on Goose Island or elsewhere in the Lower Connecticut River. We never know exactly where they will be until closer to the date, but be sure to mark your calendars for this awesome event.The swallow murmuration is a sight to see!
We meet at the DEEP launching area in Old Lyme to be in the water by 5:30pm. Headlamps and/or flashlights are strongly recommended since the return paddle will be after dusk, once the swallows have settled in for the night. Personal flotation devices are required. Water, bug repellent, and snacks are suggested.
