Known for their dynamic balance of reverence for tradition and a flair for innovation, Svøbsk
has captivated audiences with their intimate yet powerful performances. Their 2023 album,
Sorgenfri, marked a return to their original duo setup, celebrating their shared passion and
musical connection. The album was recognized by RadioFolk as one of the 10 best releases
of the year.
In 2023, Svøbsk received the Danish Music Award for Roots Name of the Year, cementing
their place in Denmark’s contemporary folk scene.
Svøbsk is pronounced “swirbsk” (with the “ir” as in bird).
