About this Event
El Camino Real is the deadliest road in the bay area, and SVBC has been hard at work to change this over the last five years.
Our organization advocates for safe accesible transportation for everyone, and a part of that work has been a collaborative effort to pressure local officials to pay more attention to El Camino Real - a main artery that connects Silicon Valley's many cities.
By volunteering at this event, you will be empowering over 150 cyclists who have just engaged in a 17 mile group ride to have secure bike parking after the event. Effectively, this will allow people to network, strategize together, and stimulate the local economy by engaging with local restaurants and shops.
OPERATIONS:
Supporting our bike valet is simple. Report to your meeting place on time, receive a short training from your supervisor, and welcome attendees as they roll in for the show. You will then tag the bike with an identifying number and safely park it in our secured corral. Later, when the owner returns, you'll match their tag with the appropriate bike and send them off with a smile!
