Suzanne Archer: Manifestation - Artist Talk

For more than five decades, Suzanne Archer has constructed a singular visual language from fragments of the natural world. Manifestation extends this lifelong practice into a deeper meditation on the charged relationship between object and place - bringing together the rugged bushland of Wedderburn, where the artist lives and works, and the interior landscape of her studio, where objects are gathered and transformed by the artist’s own hand.

Join us in the gallery at 2pm on Saturday, 21 March, when Suzanne Archer will speak about her practice and the works in Manifestation, followed by a live audience Q&A. In this special artist talk, Archer will reflect on the ideas and processes that underpin the exhibition, offering insight into her method of attentive collecting and the way objects gathered from both her studio and the surrounding bushland enter her paintings.

This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from the artist about the thinking, observation and intuition that shape her singular painting practice.
