3rd Annual Community Christmas — hosted by the SutherHarts No one should be alone on Christmas Day!
For the third year, Sean Sutherland & Surina Hart are opening their hearts and welcoming everyone to a free Community Christmas filled with warmth, laughter, and connection.
A little background: In 2023, instead of buying each other gifts, we decided to give back — by hosting a Free Community Christmas so no one would be alone on Christmas Day. The turnout and love from our community were incredible, so we did it again in 2024.
We were especially honoured to welcome our local first responders, who took a break from keeping our community safe to enjoy a warm home cooked meal. That year, we also had travelers come from afar and individuals who simply walked in off the street — everyone finding connection, laughter, and a sense of belonging. Many people didn't know what to expect, but left with new friends and memories that lasted far beyond the day.
This year, we're doing it again, bigger and better, to ensure no one spends Christmas alone.

Time: 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Location: Brighton Legion, 25 Park Street, Upstairs
What to expect:
* Morning & lunch buffet
* Traditional turkey & roast beef dinner
* Gifts for everyone
* Music, games, darts, and festive fun
* Take a trip around the world to visit your old homes using Google Earth
* Friendly faces, laughter, and community connection
This day is about coming together, sharing kindness, and celebrating community — connecting, playing, laughing, and making memories together. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re spending the holidays alone, far from family, or simply want to connect with others.
