About this Event
Sustaining The Culture: Black Arts Leadership in Practice
Join The Cultural Collective for an energizing evening of ideas, strategy, community, and conversation at our soft launch gathering!
This event brings together local artists, cultural organizations, and community stakeholders for a candid lecture and discussion on organizational growth, sustainability, and cultural leadership. Our featured speaker, Ms. Alandes Powell, will share the journey of Black Art Speaks (Cincinnati)—including real world lessons, practical insights, and the leadership choices that helped the organization scale. The conversation is designed to spark dialogue and offer takeaways that can inform the Collective’s long-term vision and intentional growth.
The evening will feature a conversation between Ms. Alandes Powell, President and CEO of Black Art Speaks; Eunice Trotter, Director of Black Heritage Preservation Program; and Judith Thomas, President and CEO of Indy Arts Council, followed by Q&A.
Although the event is free, we do ask that you register via Eventbrite.
