ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Gabriela Carrillo’s architecture is grounded in a deep sensitivity to how people relate to their surroundings. Educated at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and based in Mexico City, she approaches architecture not as an object, but as a mediator between landscape, culture, and everyday life. Her work consistently asks how space can foster dignity, encounter, and belonging. Carrillo views architecture as a social act. Through judicial buildings, schools, and public spaces—often developed collaboratively through Colectivo C733 and her independent practice founded in 2019—she emphasizes inclusion and community trust. Across all scales, her work cultivates meaningful relationships between people and their environment, offering architecture as a quiet framework for shared life.
