ABOUT THE LECTURE
1 - The City in Film: City Symphonies
In the 1920s and 1930s, many experimental films were made that featured entire cities as their subject. Dubbed city symphonies, these films portrayed their respective city as a living organism, often structured around the theme “a day in the life.”
