About this Event

Welcome to our event on Sustainability Initiatives in the Healthcare Industry held by our alumni as part of our alumni series . Join us on Mon Mar 04 2024 at 19:00 at Strathclyde Business School Dubai to learn about the latest trends and practices in sustainability within the healthcare sector. This event will feature industry experts sharing their insights and experiences, as well as networking opportunities with like-minded professionals. Don't miss out on this chance to be a part of the conversation on creating a more sustainable future for healthcare.

Within the diverse sectors of the healthcare industry, we recognize the immense potential for positive change as we address significant waste generation (5.5 metric tonnes in Dubai in 2022 alone*) and heightened energy consumption (4.4% of net greenhouse gas emissions globally **). The incorporation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles stands out as a transformative force poised to elevate the healthcare sector through responsible, sustainable, and ethically driven practices. Embracing the global momentum exemplified by COP28, ESG becomes a catalyst for positive action, urging the industry to adopt concrete plans and guidance. Rather than viewing this as a compliance burden, it presents an exciting opportunity for the healthcare landscape to thrive sustainably and ecologically. By reducing our carbon footprint without compromising on wellbeing and public health, we're not just meeting standards but actively contributing to a brighter and healthier future.

Join us for an engaging hybrid session on the 4th of March, where we will explore these transformative initiatives from various perspectives, unlocking the myriad opportunities they bring to the forefront.
