Join us for a classic South Downs loop featuring the dramatic ridges of Devil’s Dyke and the steep, rewarding climb of Wolstonbury Hill. At 20km with over 500m of climbing, this is a fantastic challenge for those looking to build their hill legs on iconic chalk trails. As with all our runs, this is a social group outing, not a race. We will be moving at a collective pace to ensure everyone stays together and enjoys the scenery. Expect to be out for around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on the group's rhythm. We’ll regroup at the top of major climbs to catch our breath and take in the views over the Weald.
Please ensure you are wearing appropriate trail shoes, as the steep descents can be slippery. Bring at least 1 litre of hydration and enough nutrition to see you through 20km of climbing. We recommend a windproof layer, as the ridge at Devil’s Dyke is notoriously exposed to the elements.
