Step back in time and experience the sights, sounds and spirit of the Viking age at the Sussex Inlet Viking Festival, returning this June Long Weekend for a full day of entertainment, culture and family friendly activities.The festival celebrates the historic arrival of Jacob Ellmoos to Sussex Inlet, a Danish settler who arrived in the area in the late 1800s. It also acknowledges and recognises the important cultural contributions of the local Aboriginal community, who share their stories and traditions as part of the event.
Visitors can explore an immersive Viking village and camp, complete with tents, fire pits and demonstrations that bring Viking life to life.
Throughout the day, watch exciting battle re-enactments and traditional Viking games that showcase the strength, skill and spirit of the era.
There will be plenty to see and do for all ages.
Enjoy live music, roaming entertainment and spectacular performances including axe juggling, fire displays and magical acts.
Families can also visit the Kids Zone, featuring rides and entertainment included with the event ticket.
Food lovers will find a wide variety of options across the festival grounds.
From Scandinavian inspired dishes to local favourites, the event features food stalls, cooking displays, craft vendors and a Viking Beer Garden offering a relaxed space to enjoy the atmosphere.
