About this Event
Heatwaves, wildfires, hurricanes and flooding caused by climate change are already impacting people and nature. Adaptation until now has been incremental with governments and institutions tinkering around the edges of current systems. This will not be enough.
As negotiators gather in Brazil for the next round of the UN climate negotiations, Susannah Fisher argues that despite the pressure on the international stage, adaptation is not going far or fast enough. We need more money, but we also need to face up to the hard choices ahead that are needed to create a liveable planet for all.
