Susannah Darling Khan on the Transformative Art of Embodied Listening

This in-person evening at Totnes Consciousness Cafe with Susannah Darling Khan introduces how to learn, practise, and experience the radical and transformative art of embodied listening. Susannah tells us that something different happens when we learn how to hear another with our whole beings and experience being deeply heard ourselves. Something different happens that is magical, healing and offers the potential for unexpected depths of communication, co-creation and communion. Few of us have been taught this incredibly valuable skill. And it is a game changer for all kinds of relationships: intimate, between friends, family or with fellow professionals.

Originally trained as a Gestalt psychotherapist, Susannah is co-Director of The School of Movement Medicine alongside husband Yaacov Darling Khan, co-author of Movement Medicine published by Hay House, and has worked as a consultant for the King’s Fund to bring this practice into the leadership awareness of some of the NHS’ most senior female leaders. Having taught “movement as medicine” internationally to thousands of people since 1989, Susannah is celebrated for her visionary weaving of scientific, psychotherapeutic and systemic/ecological paradigms and for creating a safe context for people to let go within and discover healing and transformation.
