In this Herrett Forum Lecture Dr. Russel M. Tremayne will review the history of the Twin Falls Migratory Labor Camp and explain the origins of the Farm Security Administration Camp in 1939 and its transformation into a vital World War II labor community. After the War, a local Farmers Association took over ownership of the Camp and managed it until the 1980s when the Idaho Migrant Council assumed control of the housing community. The presentation will conclude with a discussion of the preservation project currently underway there and stories about Camp residents.
