EVENT SIGN-UP LIMIT OF 25This event you will be on your own, or if you choose, you can pair up with another participant to survive the weekend on minimal gear. You will be isolated from other participants over the roughly 48 hours. Those running this event will be hands off with the participants unless the participants decide to tap out. The gear list for this event is the equivalent of what you would have with you if you were to go out on a day hike for 5-10 miles and nothing more, the idea here is that things go south and you have to now survive for a few days in the woods waiting for rescue. Along with the required gear list you will also have a backup back with a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, clothing, etc. in case you do tap out. If you tap out then you will join any others who may have tapped out and those leading the event around the main camp area (where you will set your tent up) and fire pit.
Some of the basic or minimal things you will want to be comfortable with going into this event include:
- Building a shelter
- Starting a fire
- Foraging for food
- Purifying water
