About this Event
Join us for a mind-bending journey through Surrealism in Chile with Beatriz Hausner!
From its earliest days, surrealism in Chile has manifested itself with transformative force within the country's society and culture. In this talk, Beatriz Hausner traces the trajectory of the surrealist movement in Chile from its origins in 1938, when Braulio Arenas, Enrique Gómez-Correa, and Teófilo Cid founded Mandrágora, through the Casa de la Luna group in the 1960s, the diaspora of the 1970s (Ludwig Zeller and Susana Wald in Canada, Jorge Leal Labrín in France), the Derrame group in the 1990s, and up to the present day.
