Surreal Story Collage Workshop
In this two-hour creative session, you'll dive into the world of collage, using old books, magazines, and craft supplies to build a one-of-a-kind collage universe. Then, bring your artwork to life by writing a short story that captures the essence of your creation!
What to Expect:
- Collage Crafting: Sam will guide you through creating a unique collage using a range of provided materials. You can also bring any personal craft bits you'd like to incorporate into your artwork.
- Storytelling: Once your collage is complete, you'll write a story that brings your characters, scenes, and surreal world to life, blending visual and written creativity.
- Personal Touches: Feel free to bring a frame to take your masterpiece home, ready to display!
What to Bring:
- Any craft materials you’d like to add to your collage (optional).
- A frame to showcase your artwork at home (optional).
All collage materials will be provided.

About Sam
Sam is an artist and qualified Holistic Therapist with over 20 years experience. Being creative and using natural therapies together are her loves. She runs creative workshops for both adults and children in Leicestershire. Sam makes handcut collages out of old books and magazines and loves rummaging around charity shops and vintage markets looking for ideas. She has her first solo exhibition of her collages at Charnwood Arts in early 2025 and is currently designing a book of her designs and the stories that go with them. www.veryberry.uk

Parking
Parking is available in The Bell Centre Car Park and is free from 6pm. Please use the second car park entrance on St Marys Way.
Accessing The Bell Centre
Access The Bell Centre from the large green gates from the car park, opposite the Cutting Room. Once in the Bell Centre, follow the walkway to the right and you'll find us at number 14 just before the Time Out Cafe.
