Surfboard Charcuterie

Want something unique for your next party? Make your own Surfboard Shape, Cheese/Serving Board. During the class students will learn the fundamentals of milling wood to size using the plane and table saw. Students will then be shown how to glue together the pieces to make the cheese/Serving board. This class will have students clean up pre-glued pieces, then flatten, shape, and profile their cheese/Serving board before final sanding in preparation for finish. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases. Each student should carefully consider their health and reaction to products around them when signing up for this or any of the Rockler woodworking classes
