Surf & Turf - Newquay Sea Swim & Run Challenge 🌊🏃♂️
Surf & Turf is a brand-new, community-driven fitness event coming to Newquay this May, combining open water swimming with a scenic coastal run for a unique and rewarding challenge.
Taking place on 30th May, the event will finish at Killacourt in the heart of Newquay, which will act as the central event hub with food, drink and a vibrant atmosphere for participants and spectators. Participants will kick things off on Towan Beach with a 500m sea swim in the Atlantic, before transitioning into a 5km run through Newquay, featuring a mix of coastal views and town routes that showcase the best of the Cornish coastline.
Designed to be fun, accessible and inclusive, Surf & Turf welcomes a wide range of abilities, from experienced athletes looking for something different, to those taking on their first multi-discipline challenge. The emphasis is on participation, atmosphere and enjoying the setting as much as the competition itself.
Importantly, Surf & Turf is being delivered on a not-for-profit basis, with proceeds being donated to Newquay Surf Life Saving Club and supporting free women’s self-defence classes within the local community.
