Well-planned transitions support children in their emotional growth and development, so how can we, as early childhood educators, prepare effectively? This online session is designed around ideas and reflections for providing anticipatory guidance to children and families as they transition to grade school.

About the trainer:

Stevie Alverson is the Professional Development Coordinator for Buncombe Partnership for Children. She has been working in the early childhood landscape since 2007. Her roles as a former preschool and kindergarten teacher and mother have given her a particular interest in how adults provide relationship-based transition support to young children. In addition to working directly with teachers in a coaching capacity, she also coordinates Ready for Kindergarten! activities in Buncombe County.
