About this Event
The RDTC landscape has changed significantly during the past 3 years. HMRC have merged the schemes and introduced mandatory filing to notify and support an R&D claim.
The “Guidance for Compliance” issued by HMRC has been updated for specific areas including detailing the requirements to meet the standard of ‘Competent Professional’ and the typical ‘Evidence’ needed to support a claim.
R&D tax credits remains a valuable source of support for innovative companies, but navigating the claims process can be complex and confusing from the outset.
Ron has been involved with the R&D scheme since 2014, working with local companies, and has been Deloitte’s Northern Ireland lead for R&D since 2024, focussing on compliance and risk for clients. Catarina works closely with Deloitte clients as a subject matter expert with particular emphasis in bio-medical engineering and software development. Ron and Catarina are also part of Deloitte’s Global Investment & Innovations Incentives (Gi³) team, working with the UK and Ireland Gi³ teams who can also support on grant and wider tax incentives across the UK and Ireland.
