About this Event
Supporting Your Child Day-to-Day
Understanding behaviour and what helps in the moment
Free parent support session
Do you sometimes find your child’s behaviour confusing, intense, or hard to manage?
This relaxed and supportive session will help you feel more confident in understanding what may be happening for your child and how to respond in ways that can make everyday life a little easier.
This session is shaped by lived experience as a parent and by experience supporting families and working alongside schools.
Suitable for parents of children of all ages, and particularly helpful for those with additional needs, including neurodivergence (diagnosed or not). All welcome.
In this session, we will explore:
• Understanding behaviour as communication
• What might be driving overwhelm or challenging moments
• Simple ways to respond in the moment
• Small, manageable changes you can try
There will be time to talk through real-life situations and share experiences with other parents.
From 11:30, there will be an opportunity to hear more about support available for parents locally. You are welcome to stay for this or leave at any time.
