About this Event
LGBTQ+ people in the UK face disproportionately high rates of homelessness, with family rejection, discrimination, and unsafe housing as key drivers.
Are you a frontline worker supporting people experiencing homelessness in Blackpool, Wyre & Fylde? Do you feel confident in being able to provide an inclusive service for people who are part of the LGBTQ+ community?
Join us for this FREE training session delivered by AKT in collaboration with the Frontline Network, funded by St Martin in the Fields Charity to learn more about supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community and the resources available to you.
We all strive to provide safe, inclusive services and is there more we could be doing? Blackpool specifically has a larger LGBTQ+ community than most of the UK and we know there are specific challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness.
AKT are the national charity for LGBTQ+ youth homelessness and lead on many co-produced research projects across the UK. Join us for a non judgemental session where you can ask any questions you have in a safe space, learn more about policy and how to best help those you support.
