About this Event
Join us at Balance Taproom on Wednesday 15th April for our second installment of Supper Club Cinema where we enjoy an evening of film, food and fermented beverages from around the world. Hold onto your Brussels sprouts, this time we're heading to Belgium!
We'll be showing GOLDEN EIGHTIES (1986), a musical melodrama set in a Bruxelles shopping centre where gossip abounds, stores compete, and hearts are broken. Directed by legendary Belgian filmmaker Chantal Akerman, who's film Jeanne Dielmann... was recently voted first place in Sight & Sound's Greatest Films of All Time poll, Golden Eighties pops with colour and song, selling high romance over the counter!
Alongside the screening, there will be a three-course menu to enjoy consisting of Belgian classics made by Holly Pickles and a beer pairing from Balance Brewing to complement the flavours. All dishes will be vegan and if you have any allergy concerns please contact [email protected] before purchasing.
If you would like to enjoy the menu on the night, please make sure you purchase the correct ticket. In the words of sentient candlestick, Lumiere: be our guest!
