Enhancing Resident Doctor Wellbeing & Learning through Supportive Supervision

and educational supervisors with tools to reduce workplace stress, foster resilience,
and enhance well-being. Built on the innovative methods described in Supportive
Clinical Supervision by Derek Milne & Robert Reiser, this training provides an evidence-
based framework for restoring morale, reducing burnout, and boosting educational
progression.
Learn how supportive supervision techniques can protect resident doctors
from stress, improve their job satisfaction, and increase their retention on their training
programmes - all while fostering a culture of learning, empathy, and collaboration.
In this interactive session, participants will gain practical skills, including how to define
supportive supervision, outline the support model, and apply three effective methods
for enhancing supervision quality.
