Welsh art-rock icons Super Furry Animals are set to headline York Museum Gardens on Saturday 11th July, completing this summer’s Live at York Museum Gardens concert series which will see unique performances from musical legends and rising stars take place within the botanical gardens of the city’s much loved landmark.
Returning to the stage after ten years of well-earned rest and recuperation, SFA will be celebrating over 30 years together with a choice selection of ageless multicolour hits and off-piste deep cuts, all lovingly handpicked from an incredible nine-album strong catalogue.
Playing songs from their utterly unique sonic oeuvre for the first time in ten years, SFA will be marking the momentous occasion in York with very special guests: unconventional kindred spirit Baxter Dury, compatriot indie-pop septet Los Campesinos!, fast-rising Nottingham alt-country group Divorce and the Welsh Music Prize nominated woozy, ‘60s-inspired psychedelia of Pys Melyn.
