About this Event
Join the Warren Conservation Commission, Save The Bay, the Bristol County Water Authority, and Rhode Island Sea Grant for a guided walking and driving tour of the reservoir restoration project. Learn how dam removal and habitat restoration are improving water quality, restoring fish passage, and supporting local wildlife.
The tour will begin at the BCWA parking lot with a view of the lower dam, followed by carpooling to the upper dam removal site for a closer look at the restoration work and discussion with project leaders.
Presenters:
Wenley Ferguson, Save the Bay
Steve Coutu, Bristol County Water Authority
Late May coincides with peak spring bird migration, and the site sits directly along a major flyway. Attendees interested in birdwatching may want to bring binoculars or cameras. While this is not a formal birding walk, there may be opportunities to observe migratory and resident species along the way.
