Entomology professionals Daniel Suiter, Lisa Ames, and Becky Griffin join us for an insect-themed tour of the Atlanta BeltLine Westside Trail. We will identify the types of bugs within the Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum in their habitats and discuss their behaviors as well as the threats these organisms are currently facing. Learn how trees, native plants, insects, and people are all part of the same cycle and what we can do to support insect communities, and human health.About the Guides:

What is National Pollinator Week? Pollinator Week 2024 will take place June 17-23, 2024. Pollinator Week is an annual celebration in support of pollinator health that was initiated and is managed by Pollinator Partnership. It is a time to raise awareness for pollinators and spread the word about what we can do to protect them. Pollinator Week 2024 is a celebration of the vital role that pollinators play in our ecosystems, economies, and agriculture. Under the inspiring theme "Vision 2040: Thriving ecosystems, economies, and agriculture," this year's event urges us to envision a future where pollinators not only survive but thrive.
