Join us this June for a special Sunset Picnic celebrating the centennial of Route 66. Inspired by the spirit of the open road, this evening brings a touch of classic Americana to the coast.
Bring your own picnic and enjoy a relaxed night by the ocean. Come with friends, family, or on your own and join a communal table. Take in live music, ocean views, and an open, welcoming space as the sun sets.
In addition to our classic Sunset Picnic favorites like complimentary s’mores (while supplies last) and board games, this event will feature Route 66–inspired activities including playful races, a community push-pin travel map, and hands-on crafts like designing your own mini car.
This free event is open to all ages. RSVPs encouraged.
Beach House Parking
Upon arrival, guests must pay for parking at Pay & Display machines located in each section of the lot and display the receipt on the dashboard. Rates are $4 per hour or $15 per day. Only exact change cash and physical credit cards are accepted.
Guests displaying a valid Disabled Person placard or license plate may park in the Beach House lot for 50% the posted rate. Senior Beach Parking permits issued by the City of Santa Monica are valid in the Beach House lot. For more information, please visit How to Obtain a Senior Beach Parking Permit.
City of Santa Monica Day Beach Permits and California State Parks Vehicle Day Use Annual Passes are NOT accepted at the Beach House.
Access
The Annenberg Community Beach House is wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant. Two beach wheelchairs will be available for this activity.
