Every mom knows the feeling. Coffee at sunrise just to get everyone out the door — and wine by sunset because you earned it.
This Mother's Day, we're celebrating both.
Join certified Q-grader Kelly Abbott of Unleashed Coffee Co. and certified sommelier Fah Sathirapongsasuti of Sunset Cellars for an intimate two-hour tasting experience in the vineyards of Suisun Valley — where the world of specialty coffee and fine wine meet in one beautiful morning. Treat your mom. Treat yourself. Bring her along and discover something together.
This isn't a coffee class. This isn't a wine tasting. It's something nobody in Northern California is currently offering: two certified experts, two guided flights, and a conversation about the surprising language these two beloved beverages share.
What to Expect
The morning unfolds in three acts.
The coffee act opens with a guided flight of four single-origin coffees sourced directly from Unleashed Coffee's farming partners — sequenced from light to dark roast, each introduced by its origin story and farm. Flavor notes are shared only after your first sip. No bias. Just your palate.
The bridge brings Kelly and Fah together to explore the shared vocabulary of coffee and wine — terroir, acidity, body, finish, and the choices makers make that shape everything in the cup or glass. Both the SCA Coffee Flavor Wheel and the Wine Aroma Wheel are on the table. The connections will surprise you.
The wine act closes the morning with a guided flight of four Sunset Cellars wines — and by now, you'll have the vocabulary to taste them differently than you ever have before.
Because every great Mother's Day starts with an exceptional cup of coffee — and ends with a well-deserved glass of wine.

🧁 Register by Wednesday, May 7th and your ticket includes a selection of pastries from The Morning Bun Cafe (Vacaville) — served mid-morning to make the celebration complete. Registrations after May 7th are still welcome at the same price, but pastries cannot be guaranteed.
About Your Hosts
Kelly Abbott holds a Q-grader certification — one of fewer than 7,000 awarded globally — the coffee industry's equivalent of a Master Sommelier. Through Unleashed Coffee Co., Kelly sources directly from farming partners and has been leading coffee tasting experiences across the region for years.

Fah Sathirapongsasuti is a certified sommelier and co-owner of Sunset Cellars, crafting small-lot wines from some of California's most respected vineyards. Sunset Suisun is one of Suisun Valley's most intimate and beloved tasting rooms.
