About this Event
Every year, Sunnyside Shines hosts its Annual Meeting, where we reflect on the past year’s accomplishments, present our annual report, recognize community leaders, and hear from distinguished guests and elected officials.This year’s meeting will take place on Thursday, June 25 at 5:00 PM at Sunnyside Community Services.We are honored to welcome our keynote speaker, New York City Comptroller Mark Levine, along with several commissioners from Mayor Mamdani’s administration, including:
- Commissioner Greg Anderson, NYC Department of Sanitation
- Commissioner Sam Levine, NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection
- Commissioner Ahmed Tigani, NYC Department of Buildings
- Commissioner Vilda Vera Mayuga, Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings
We will also be presenting an award to our outgoing New York State Senator, Michael Gianaris, in recognition of his many years of dedicated service to Sunnyside. His leadership and commitment to our community have been invaluable, and he will be greatly missed.Please RSVP using the link below so we can get an accurate headcount.
