Sunflower Club is an inclusive gathering for creativity, community, and expression. An open-mic style format, all modes of creativity are welcome, from poetry to music to storytelling to dance to comedy.
We believe that creative expression is a healing modality. When an emotion is suppressed, it will fester beneath the surface and manifest as sickness or pain. The same thing happens with creativity. Making art of any kind is a healing modality that releases toxins and stuck energy.
It is human nature to create. Making art should not be reserved for a privileged class of professional artists. Our motto: it’s not about being good at creativity. It’s about creativity being good for you.
Everyone is welcome. Bring something to share, or just come to listen and soak up the vibes.

Open mic begins at 6:30pm. Please arrive early to put your name on the list. Sign-ups are on a first come, first serve basis.

James McCrae is an author, viral meme poet, and creativity teacher who empowers creators to live with purpose and turn imagination into reality. As a creative strategist, he has worked with top brands and startups to define and actualize their message and mission. His books include Sh#t Your Ego Says, How to Laugh in Ironic Amusement During Your Existential Crisis, and The Art of You.
