About this Event
Some wines are made for cellars. Others are made for summer. In this class, Jonathan Ogden explores the styles of wine that truly come alive in warm weather—fresh, vibrant, and meant to be enjoyed cold, whether you’re by the pool, at the beach, or around a table with friends.
We’ll move beyond regions and focus on how wines drink in the heat—crisp whites, coastal styles, refreshing rosés, sparkling wines, and lighter reds that shine with a slight chill. Along the way, you’ll learn what makes a wine “summer-ready,” from acidity and alcohol to texture and balance, and how to choose bottles that work effortlessly in the Florida climate.
During this two-hour class, we’ll taste ten wines, thoughtfully selected to capture the energy of the season—from bright, mineral-driven whites and rosés to lively bubbles and chillable reds. Class attendees will have access to preferred pricing on featured bottles following the tasting.
Please note: The Vintage on Harrison is not open on Sundays. The space will be open exclusively for this class. Light snacks will be provided; this is a tasting and educational experience rather than a full food service.
Expect great wines, clear explanations, and a lineup designed for real life—wines you’ll actually want in your fridge all summer long.
Relaxed, educational, and designed to make summer wine simple, enjoyable, and repeatable.
